Court Places Travel Ban on Social Media Personality Dr. Vicky Gray

MONROVIA – A fresh writ of arrest has been issued against popular social media personality Dr. Vicky Gray even as the complainants in an alleged assault case withdrew their complaint against her from the Liberia National Police to pursue the matter in court.

A letter dated June 24, 2026 and addressed to Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman states that complainants Stephen Weah, Joseph Weah, Emmanuel Bondo and Grace Weah, known as Master Queen, formally withdrew their complaint against Gray and others yet to be identified “from the Central Police Headquarters to proceed with court action.”

The letter indicates the matter is no longer being pursued through the police investigation process and that the complainants intend to take it before the court.

The development follows earlier reports that a writ of arrest issued by the Monrovia City Court against Gray had been quashed after her lawyers argued the matter was already under investigation at police headquarters. The City Court subsequently referred the case to police for investigation.

With the complainants now withdrawing the police complaint to proceed with court action, a new writ of arrest has reportedly been issued against Gray and other individuals connected to the case.

The underlying complaint stems from an alleged incident at the Cigar Bar in Sinkor, where the complainants accused Gray and her bodyguards of aggravated assault, simple assault, menacing, criminal conspiracy and disorderly conduct. The complainants said they sustained injuries and required medical attention.

As of publication, it was not immediately clear whether Gray had been arrested or whether she had already appeared before the court in response to the writ.

Gray has not been convicted of any offense. The allegations remain claims by the complainants and must be proven in court. She is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
