Monrovia – Liberian footballers continued to shine across Europe and the United States over the weekend, with Emmanuel Sieh and Mark Pabai reaching significant milestones with their clubs.
As reported by online platform Liberian Players Updates, Nineteen-year-old forward Sieh provided an assist on his first start for Čelik Zenica in a 2-1 away victory over Tuzla City. The result secured promotion to the Bosnian top flight and confirmed Čelik Zenica as league champions with three matches remaining.
Sieh has now recorded three goal involvements in his last three matches, tallying one goal and two assists in seven appearances for the club.
Meanwhile, Pabai is set for another season of European football after FC Koper finished second in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. The club will enter the 2026-27 UEFA Conference League in the second qualifying round as an unseeded side.
The Liberian right back made 26 appearances this season, including 23 starts, while contributing five assists.
In Sweden, William Gibson made his seventh appearance of the season after coming off the bench in Hammarby Talang’s 3-1 win over Stockholm Internazionale on Saturday. The 18-year-old has one assist in one start this season.
Fellow Liberian youngster Saah Moses Jr remained on the bench after starting Talang’s previous two matches. He has scored one goal in six appearances, including three starts.
In the United States Soccer League, Prince Saydee made his first start for Charlotte Independence in their penalty shootout victory over Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Cup. Saydee has one assist in four appearances for the USL League One club.
Elsewhere, Liberia-born attacker Darius Randell scored his third goal of the season for Minnesota United 2 in a 1-1 draw against Houston Dynamo 2 in MLS Next Pro action Saturday night. Minnesota later lost the post-match penalty shootout and missed out on the extra point.
Randell has now produced goal contributions in consecutive matches after also assisting in the previous game, bringing his tally to five goal involvements this season.
Watanga FC loanee Philip Tarnue made his seventh consecutive start and completed the full match for the sixth straight game against Houston Dynamo 2.
Sixteen-year-old Liberian midfielder Jadan Bernard remained an unused substitute for the second consecutive match.
