MONROVIA — The Civil Service Agency will hold this year’s Public Service Day celebration in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, on June 23, 2026, bringing together government officials, civil servants, development partners and other stakeholders to honor the contributions of Liberia’s public workforce.
The observance will be held under the theme: “Enhancing Public Sector Institutions and Empowering Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships to Achieve Universal Water Availability and Safe Sanitation by 2063.”
Planned activities include keynote addresses by senior government leaders, awards and recognition for outstanding public and civil servants, panel discussions on professionalism, accountability and innovation, and interactive presentations aimed at strengthening Liberia’s public institutions.
Dahnu Mianyen, who chairs the Public Service Day Celebration Committee, said public servants remain central to the delivery of government programs and policies despite work that often goes unrecognized.
“Public servants remain the backbone of government programs and policies,” Mianyen said, adding that their dedication continues to positively affect the lives of citizens across the country.
The CSA said this year’s observance will also carry a message aimed at young Liberians, encouraging them to view public service as a meaningful and impactful career path. The agency described the celebration as part of the government’s broader commitment to strengthening public institutions and improving service delivery nationwide.
