Bea Mountain Signs Three Promising Players as Club Shifts Recruitment Strategy

Bea Mountain FC has moved early in the transfer market ahead of the 2026-27 Liberia Football Association First Division season, securing three promising players on long-term deals as the Grand Cape Mount-based club deepens its commitment to young talent development.

The headline signing is Liberia U-20 striker Darius Garmondeh, who finished as the LFA First Division’s top scorer during the 2025-26 campaign. Garmondeh joins from Caldwell United, having spent last season on loan at Watanga FC, where he scored 15 goals and played a central role in the club’s third league championship. He has signed a four-year contract running through 2030.

His performances also earned him a place in Liberia’s U-20 national team, which toured England last month and played matches against youth sides from Chelsea, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Queens Park Rangers.

Bea Mountain have also added winger Adolphus Blayee from fellow First Division side Paynesville FC. The Liberia U-20 international has signed a four-year deal and is expected to provide additional attacking threat in the final third.

Completing the trio is central defender Moses Kamara, who joins on a permanent four-year contract from Ansu Football Academy after a loan spell with Gardnersville FC. Club officials believe the young defender will add depth and stability to the back line as the Gold Boys prepare for the new campaign.

All three players are contracted through the 2029-30 season.

The signings reflect a deliberate shift in recruitment strategy since the arrival of Turkish coach Ibrahim Cezayir. Following the establishment of the club’s academy, Bea Mountain’s management, backed by owner Bea Mountain Mining Corporation, is placing greater emphasis on identifying, developing and marketing young talent rather than chasing established names.

The club finished second behind Watanga this season and is determined to go one better in 2026-27. Bea Mountain already count several of the country’s most sought-after young prospects in their ranks, including Pewee Bestman, Nuch Zohn and Ralf Weah, all three of whom have been named in coach Mohammed Erradi’s Lone Star squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Sierra Leone on June 6 and June 9.
