MONROVIA — The race for Big Brother Naija Season 11’s record-breaking ₦160 million prize package has entered a decisive stage, with Martins and Mercedes becoming the first housemates evicted following the season’s first double eviction over the weekend.

The pair exited Biggie’s House after receiving the lowest votes from viewers, bringing an early end to their pursuit of the reality television crown as alliances, competition and disciplinary action begin to intensify.

Speaking with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu immediately after his eviction, Martins remained optimistic about life beyond the House, promising fans that he plans to surprise the world with upcoming projects.

Mercedes also refused to view her early departure as a defeat, saying she was satisfied with what she brought to the competition.

“I gave the experience everything I had and I’m proud of my time in the House,” she said during her exit interview.

Mercedes said she intends to take her performance talent to international stages, expand her massage and concierge businesses and prioritize raising funds for her father’s upcoming surgery.

While Martins and Mercedes were saying goodbye, Chimsom Chuka emerged as the season’s inaugural Most Influential Player of the Week, or MIPOW.

The victory earned Chuka the betPawa Elite Award and immunity from the next eviction round, giving him a significant advantage as housemates begin positioning themselves for a longer stay in the competition.

The increasingly competitive atmosphere has also brought Big Brother’s rules into sharper focus.

Shortly before the live show, Big Brother summoned the housemates over repeated rule violations involving Nomy.

Nomy received a formal strike and final warning, signaling Biggie’s determination to enforce discipline as competition inside the House intensifies.

Season 11 comes with what organizers describe as the largest reward package in the show’s history, valued at ₦160 million.

The grand prize includes ₦100 million in cash, a new SUV and premium products from corporate sponsors. Housemates also have opportunities to earn individual cash prizes and other rewards through daily and weekly sponsored challenges.

But this season introduces an additional twist that could directly affect the eventual winner’s cash prize.

Under the “Cash Pot Penalty” twist, failure by housemates to successfully complete designated weekly tasks will result in ₦5 million being deducted from the grand cash pot.

The deducted money will accumulate in a separate pool and later be distributed to housemates voted the “Most Influential” during the season, adding another strategic dimension to the competition.
