MONROVIA— Montserrado County District 17 Representative Bernard Blue Benson Jr. has announced plans to construct a $500,000 resource and recreational complex aimed at expanding social infrastructure in his district.
The proposed complex will include an e-library, football field, basketball court, playground, canteen, restrooms, dressing rooms and a picnic area. Benson said the initiative will provide residents with access to facilities that are often out of reach because of long travel distances.
“This initiative demonstrates a dedication to improving the community’s welfare while encouraging involvement and collaboration among district residents,” Benson said. “The complex will serve as a vital resource, offering both educational and recreational support to people who currently face challenges in accessing such facilities.”
Benson stressed that the project is designed to foster community development and social cohesion. He said the investment will enhance the quality of life for residents by creating opportunities for learning, recreation and interaction.
The lawmaker described the proposal as part of his broader commitment to improving the lives of his constituents and building stronger community networks.
