KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — QNET, a global direct selling company specializing in lifestyle and wellness products, has welcomed a group of eight journalists from Liberia and six other West African countries to its corporate headquarters in Malaysia as part of its annual media familiarization tour.
Representing Liberia is journalist Willie Tokpah, alongside counterparts from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Togo and Guinea. The media junket aims to provide journalists with first-hand insight into QNET’s operations and help dispel misinformation about the company’s business model and products—particularly in African markets where the company’s name has been used fraudulently.
The journalists arrived in Malaysia on June 19 and began their tour at QI Tower, the company’s 15-story global headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. They explored QNET’s corporate offices, conference facilities, and product gallery, which features a range of lifestyle and wellness products tailored to global markets.
“This visit is a testimony that QNET exists as a real business with genuine intentions,” a company official said during the tour. “We are committed to transparency and are taking concrete steps to fight fraud and misrepresentation.”
From Kuala Lumpur, the delegation traveled to Penang Island to participate in V-Malaysia, QNET’s flagship V-Convention, which brings together thousands of independent distributors, entrepreneurs, marketing experts, government officials and members of the media from around the world.
During the initial phase of the visit, QNET emphasized its operations in Africa, particularly Liberia, where the company says its name has been misused by scammers. Company officials reiterated that QNET does not offer overseas job placements, scholarships, or visas, and warned against anyone claiming otherwise.
“QNET is not a Ponzi or investment scheme,” the company clarified. “We encourage the public to report suspicious activity through our network integrity channels.”
The company urged the public to contact its anti-fraud hotline via WhatsApp at +233256630005 or email at [email protected] to report scams. It also highlighted its ongoing anti-scam awareness campaigns across the continent, including “QNET Against Scams” and the “Say No” initiative.
As part of the tour, journalists were introduced to the RYTHM Foundation (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind), QNET’s corporate social responsibility arm. The foundation implements humanitarian projects aimed at empowering communities globally.
QNET executives stressed their efforts to collaborate with African governments and security agencies to raise awareness about the company’s legitimate operations and combat the misuse of its name.
The visiting journalists are currently attending the V-Convention’s official opening in Penang, joining thousands of QNET distributors for days of learning, sharing and networking aimed at empowering direct sellers across the globe.
