ZWEDRU, Grand Gedeh County – The Noble Second Floor (NSF) of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law has donated assorted humanitarian items to the National Palace of Corrections in Zwedru, underscoring the organization’s commitment to social responsibility and support for vulnerable populations within Liberia’s justice system.
The donation, made on February 8, 2026, formed a key component of NSF’s 6th Annual Retreat activities held in Zwedru under the theme “Introspection, Innovation and Well-being: Keys for Strategic Growth and Progress.”

Presenting the items, NSF President Josiah Monmia said the gesture reflects the Noble Second Floor’s dedication to humanitarian service and its solidarity with inmates and administrators of the correctional facility. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with NSF’s broader mission of service, leadership, and community impact beyond the classroom.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the institution, Farley Y. Chea, Operations Officer at the National Palace of Corrections in Zwedru, expressed appreciation to the Noble Second Floor for the timely support.
Mr. Chea highlighted major challenges facing the facility, including limited mobility resources, inadequate hand pumps, and lack of reliable electricity, and called on NSF and other institutions to continue supporting efforts aimed at improving conditions at the prison.
The donation took place alongside NSF’s 6th Annual Retreat, which brought members together for reflection and strategic engagement. In welcome remarks during the retreat, Hon. James Memee, speaking on behalf of the local authorities of Grand Gedeh County, thanked the Noble Second Floor for choosing Zwedru as the host city for the event.
NSF President Josiah Monmia also used the occasion to commend members for their unity and collective responsibility, while highlighting achievements of his administration, including the establishment of radio programs, fundraising initiatives, and membership drives.
Delivering a keynote message, Her Honor Eva Mappy Morgan, Chief Judge of the Commercial Court of the Republic of Liberia, noted that the retreat’s theme reflects the organization’s commitment to progress, innovation, and strategic planning in addressing both internal growth and societal challenges.
Through the donation to the National Palace of Corrections and the successful hosting of its 6th Annual Retreat, the Noble Second Floor of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law continues to demonstrate leadership grounded in service, compassion, and commitment to national development.
Also at the retreat 16 new members were inducted into the organization. The newly initiated members have swore to be committed to legal scholarship and service as the NSF expands its mandate to across Liberia.
