CAF Concludes Regional Medical Course in Monrovia

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) successfully concluded a three-day Regional Medical Course for WAFU A on Wednesday in Monrovia.

The program convened 18 medical professionals from the nine member associations of WAFU A, focusing on critical topics such as the CAF MRI Protocol, the CAF Anti-Doping Strategy 2023-2025, heat stroke, and exertional sickling. These sessions aimed to enhance medical care for players across the region.

At the closing ceremony, Liberia Football Association President, WAFU A Vice President, and CAF Executive Member Mustapha I. Raji expressed gratitude to the facilitators, led by CAF Medical Manager Dr. Boubakary Sidiki, for their dedication to capacity-building in West Africa and beyond.

President Raji highlighted that such initiatives, driven by the CAF Medical Committee, align with CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s vision of stabilizing and improving African football. He congratulated the participants and urged them to share the knowledge gained with medical professionals in their respective countries, contributing to better player welfare across the WAFU A zone and the continent.
