apply same CDC-USA Chairman Warns 2029 Vote Riggers of “Street to Street” Chase MONROVIA – The chairman of the U.S. branch of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change has warned that anyone who tries to rig Liberia’s 2029 elections will be chased “from street to street.” He said his supporters would go into their bedrooms if necessary. Success A. B. Dennis, national chairman of CDC-USA, issued the warning in a statement aimed at President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s government and what he called its “political surrogates.” Anyone who tries to undermine the people’s mandate, he wrote, must be ready to answer for it, adding: “we will personally chase you from street to street.” He said that if it were needed “to save Liberia democracy,” they would enter “your bedroom.” Later in the same statement, Dennis said the warning “is not a call for violence, revenge, or harm against anyone’s family.” He said any response to electoral fraud must be “determined, peaceful, constitutional, and relentless in pursuing accountability.” “Any attempt to rig, manipulate, or subvert the 2029 electoral process will be met with determined, organized, and lawful resistance from the Liberian people,” Dennis said. He said he takes full responsibility for the warning. The statement also accuses the Boakai administration of neglecting education, health care and roads while government revenue grows, and asks “Who ate Liberia’s money?” Dennis cited a reported US$1.3 billion in government revenue and said education receives an allocation of 0.58%, a figure the statement attributes only to “figures cited in this release.” He questioned how a central bank deputy governor could reportedly earn US$9,000 a month while students sit on classroom floors. He also cited reports that the monthly gasoline allowances of Liberia Telecommunications Authority commissioners equal a health worker’s annual salary, and that the president rides in a US$1.8 million 2025 Lexus SUV. The statement offers no sources for these claims, and The Liberian Investigator has not verified them. The US$9,000 figure matches the base monthly salary that Euphemia Gbadee Swen-Monmia, the nominee for CBL deputy governor for economic policy, disclosed at her Senate confirmation hearing last week. Dennis called on the government to publish a full account of national revenue and spending, and of senior officials’ salaries, allowances and benefits. He said Boakai “did not inherit an empty country” from former President George Manneh Weah’s CDC government, and that the public deserves an account of what was inherited, what has been completed and what the current administration has delivered.
