MONROVIA, Liberia — International direct-selling company QNET says it is intensifying efforts to combat fraud and protect consumers across West Africa, announcing plans to expand its anti-scam campaign to Liberia following what it describes as major enforcement successes in 2025.
The company made the disclosure during a New Year Media Webinar attended by about 30 Liberian journalists, where Deputy Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa Cherif Abdoulaye outlined QNET’s 2025 anti-fraud achievements and its 2026 strategy.
According to Abdoulaye, QNET’s collaboration with law enforcement agencies led to the rescue of more than 300 victims and the arrest of 25 suspects linked to employment scams and human trafficking schemes that misused the company’s brand name.
Strategic Law Enforcement Partnerships
In 2025, QNET signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), strengthening cooperation in investigations involving fraudulent recruitment and migration scams.
The partnership, supported by police and immigration authorities, resulted in enforcement actions against individuals accused of falsely using QNET’s name to lure victims with promises of overseas jobs and visas.
QNET emphasized that it does not support illegal migration, fake recruitment schemes or false promises of employment abroad.
The company’s flagship public awareness initiative, “QNET Against Scams,” launched in 2024 and expanded in 2025 across Ghana, Senegal and Sierra Leone, was featured in a BBC documentary. The campaign focuses on educating the public about fraud prevention and brand misuse.
QNET now plans to replicate similar initiatives in Liberia, Togo and Benin in 2026.
Internal Disciplinary Measures
Beyond external enforcement, QNET said it continues to implement strict internal compliance measures.
The company reported taking disciplinary action against 298 independent distributors in 2025 for violating its Code of Conduct, reinforcing its commitment to ethical business standards.
Officials said these measures are intended to maintain transparency and protect both customers and legitimate distributors.
Engagement With Liberian Media
The Feb. 26 webinar brought together journalists and editors from across Liberia to discuss consumer protection, ethical direct selling and regional anti-scam efforts.
Some participants shared experiences of attending QNET’s flagship convention in Malaysia, where they met with the company’s global management team and engaged in discussions about business operations and compliance frameworks.
Also participating in the webinar was Lawyer Kwasi Danso, Regional Legal Counsel for QNET Sub-Saharan Africa.
2026 Focus: Consumer Protection and Regional Expansion
Looking ahead, QNET said it will deepen partnerships with security agencies and continue proactive investigations to prevent fraud linked to its brand.
Company officials stressed that safeguarding consumers and maintaining ethical standards remain central to its regional operations.
