MONROVIA — Liberian international Paulinho Agbotsu wasted no time making her mark in China, scoring on debut for Sichuan Women’s FC in the Chinese Women’s Super League shortly after completing her transfer from Kazakhstan’s Tomiris-Turan.
Agbotsu, who joined the club roughly 10 days ago, scored in the league opener and featured again in Sichuan’s second match Saturday, delivering an immediate strong impression in a more competitive and globally recognized league.
The forward has steadily built a reputation as one of Liberia’s most consistent attacking players. Her career began at Determine Girls FC before spells in Kazakhstan with Okzhetpes and BIIK Shymkent and a stint in Russia with FC Rostov. She earned Best Attacker honors in the Kazakhstan Women’s League in 2023.
Her move to China adds to the growing presence of Liberian players in international women’s football and gives Agbotsu her highest-profile platform yet.
