Justice Minister Tweh pledged the government’s support for OkadaMotto, highlighting its potential to enhance road safety. Transport Minister Tyler praised motorcyclists for their significant contributions to the economy, citing their collective tax and insurance payments exceeding $2 million last year.
“Your role in the economy is undeniable. We remain committed to fostering an environment where you can thrive,” Tyler stated. He also emphasized the need for collective organization among riders. “Unity amplifies your voices and ensures your interests are effectively represented.”

John AF Kenyor, President of the Motorcycle and Tricycle Union, hailed OkadaMotto as a game-changer for the sector. “This platform will improve riders’ livelihoods and ensure passengers’ safety. It brings professionalism and reliability to our operations,” Kenyor said.
The platform’s app enables passengers to book rides and track their journeys in real time. It also eliminates pricing inconsistencies by standardizing fares, ensuring passengers are charged fairly based on distance.
Dr. Sumaila elaborated on OkadaMotto’s broader vision. “This initiative is about more than a ride-hailing app. It’s about creating jobs, empowering riders, and ensuring passengers feel secure. We aim to build a sustainable ecosystem that benefits everyone,” he explained.
