MONROVIA – Businesses and entrepreneurs across Liberia are gearing up for the highly anticipated Made in Liberia Expo, scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Monrovia City Hall. This day-long event, running from 9 am to 5 pm, promises to be a landmark gathering for local innovators, offering a vibrant platform to display a wide array of Liberian products and services.
Organized by Made in Liberia Fair Inc., the expo has evolved from a traditional fair into a comprehensive showcase under the new banner of “Made in Liberia Expo.” The rebranding reflects a shift towards a more expansive format designed to foster business growth, networking, and international recognition.
According to Mrs. Zyline Kaffey-Smith, the Event’s Coordinator, this year’s expo will feature over 80 vendor spaces and is expected to draw participants from diverse sectors including fashion, agriculture, technology, and food services. “We are thrilled to open registration for the Made in Liberia Expo. This event is crucial for promoting local products and driving the demand for domestically produced goods, thereby minimizing our reliance on imports and supporting the local economy,” said Mrs. Kaffey-Smith.
In a strategic move to boost the expo’s profile, Mrs. Kaffey-Smith has partnered with Genesys Communications Consulting, Liberia’s premier PR firm, to enhance event visibility and engage a broader audience. “Effective communication is vital for the success of any business, and our collaboration aims to ensure that our local businesses receive the recognition and support they rightfully deserve,” she added.
The expo not only serves as a platform for showcasing products but also acts as a catalyst for fostering economic independence by encouraging the consumption of locally made goods.
Businesses interested in participating are advised to register early due to limited space availability.
