MONROVIA — Executive Protection Service (EPS) Director Sam Gaye has denied reports circulating on social media that he has been dismissed from his post.
The rumor began with a Facebook post by Sekou Kalasco Damaro, a former presidential aide, who claimed that “EPS Director Sam Gaye has been sacked.” The post quickly went viral, drawing widespread speculation online.
When contacted via WhatsApp, Gaye dismissed the claims as false, saying he has received no official communication about any termination.
“As far as I know, I have not received any communication about my dismissal,” Gaye said. “I am currently in the U.S. In fact, I spoke with the President, and he has not told me that I am fired.”
Gaye added with a touch of humor, “When the people fire you, you will see it on Facebook.”
He concluded, “My brother, don’t waste your time. I am still doing my job.”
