MONROVIA — French football agent Farid Adjaoud has begun a series of high-level engagements in Liberia aimed at strengthening football development partnerships, identifying local talent and advancing plans for a proposed football academy project.
Adjaoud, managing partner of Adjaoud Consulting and lead representative of the proposed Cluj Academy Liberia initiative, met with Liberia Football Association (LFA) Second Vice President Saye-Taayor A. Dolo on Monday, June 22, 2026 in Monrovia. Their discussions centered on potential collaboration between the agency and the LFA to support football development in Liberia.
The French football executive, who is in Liberia with Liberian scout and sports adviser to Liberia’s Embassy in France Mohammed Diallo, is expected to identify at least three promising Liberian players for possible opportunities in France.
His four-day visit also aims to advance discussions on the establishment of the proposed Cluj Academy Liberia, a project being coordinated by Adjaoud Consulting in partnership with Romanian football club CFR 1907 Cluj.
Adjaoud arrived in Liberia on Sunday through Roberts International Airport, becoming the first European sports partner to visit the country following Youth and Sports Minister Cornelia Wonkerleh Kruah’s April 2026 working mission to Paris, during which she engaged sports institutions, club officials and potential investors at Liberia’s Embassy in France.
Established in 2018, Adjaoud Consulting specializes in sports strategy, player management and football development, with ongoing projects in Kenya, Rwanda and Burkina Faso.
During his stay, Adjaoud is expected to also hold further discussions with Minister Kruah and other senior sports officials on the proposed academy’s structure, football governance and investment prospects.
He and Diallo will also conduct scouting activities with local clubs, coaches and players to assess Liberia’s football talent and the feasibility of the academy project.
The visit marks a significant step in Liberia’s efforts to attract international sports investment and expand opportunities for young footballers.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports acknowledged the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Liberia’s Ambassador to France Teeko Tozay Yorlay and Diallo in facilitating the engagement, and expressed optimism that the partnership will deliver long-term benefits for Liberian football.
