MONROVIA — Liberian fans of Big Brother Naija, Africa’s most-watched reality show, are set to experience the hit program in new ways with the launch of “Big Brother Naija: The Liberia Connection.”
The initiative, announced by DStv, is designed to bring the excitement of the ongoing Season 10 closer to home with live watch parties, interactive competitions and exclusive chances for fans to win prizes.
Beginning this season, DStv will host weekly watch parties at venues across Liberia, allowing fans to come together, watch eviction nights and share the thrill of the competition.
“This is about creating a closer-to-home experience for our Liberian subscribers,” said Cynthia Joel, digital marketing specialist at DStv, in a phone interview with Media Fusion Liberia’s Mary Williams on Hott FM.
To boost engagement, DStv has launched a live-stream competition through the DStv Stream app. Fans are encouraged to record short videos of themselves watching Season 10, upload the clips to social media and tag DStv’s official pages on Facebook and Instagram.
The most-liked videos will earn viewers an all-expenses-paid trip to Lagos, Nigeria, where they will tour the Big Brother Naija house and attend the live finale.
“We will fly a lucky winner to Nigeria to witness the Season 10 finale of Big Brother Naija,” Joel said. “The higher your package, the more votes you can cast. Just take a screenshot of your votes and send it to our Facebook and Instagram DMs.”
Joel praised Liberian viewers for their loyalty and passion, urging them to continue voting for their favorite contestants.
“Liberian fans have been among our most dedicated audiences, and this initiative is our way of giving back by making them part of the action,” she said.
Season 10 of Big Brother Naija, themed “10/10,” premiered July 26–27 and airs live on DStv Channel 198. The season has already gripped millions across Africa with its mix of drama, strategy and entertainment.
