GANTA, Nimba County – The Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) has announced that its 39th anniversary celebrations will be held in Ganta, Nimba County.
To lead the planning and execution of this year’s milestone event, SWAL has appointed Mr. Nathaniel S. Tokpah, Chairman of the Nimba County Chapter of SWAL, as Chair of the Anniversary Steering Committee. He will be assisted by veteran journalist Mr. Nyah Flomo Jr. as Co-Chair, while Mr. Jerome Saye will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee include veteran journalist Christopher Fahn, Jerry T. Myers, Joekai G. Yango (Margibi County Coordinator), and Freddie Gayflor (Bong County Coordinator).
The committee is tasked with coordinating all activities related to the 39th anniversary celebration in close consultation with SWAL’s national leadership. Their mandate runs through the end of September 2025.
SWAL is calling on all members, sports stakeholders, and supporters—particularly those in Nimba County and across Liberia—to support the committee in ensuring a successful celebration.
