MONROVIA — Turkish Super Lig club Antalyaspor has officially announced a partnership with Liberia First Division League champions Football Club Fassell.
The Turkish club revealed the deal in a congratulatory message posted on its official Facebook page, following FC Fassell’s triumph in the Liberian First Division.
Antalyaspor, a two-time Turkish Super Lig champion, said the agreement covers areas including professional player development, infrastructure, player exchange, coach training, advertising and sponsorship.
“Our club’s relations with FC Fassell at the A team level are continuing at full speed in the areas of professional players, infrastructure, player replacement, coach training, advertising and sponsorship,” the statement read. “We would like to congratulate our partner club FC Fassell for earning the right to join the African Champions League (CAF) with this championship and wish them continued success.”
FC Fassell CEO Cassell A. Kuoh responded by expressing satisfaction with the partnership, describing it as a major opportunity to promote some of Fassell’s top talent in Europe. He cited recent tryout opportunities for players Delton Kollie and Morton Sayon in February 2025 as examples of progress under the collaboration.
Kuoh emphasized that the partnership is not only for FC Fassell’s benefit but is designed to contribute to the broader development of Liberian football.
FC Fassell were crowned champions last week at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex, capping an extraordinary season with a nine-point lead over second-place Heaven Eleven.
With their CAF Champions League debut approaching, the newly crowned Liberian men’s champions are preparing to bolster their squad.
Kuoh has reportedly disclosed plans to invest $25,000 in recruiting players from across Africa’s top leagues, a move intended to boost their chances of progressing beyond the preliminary rounds and into the prestigious group stages.
As they embark on this historic journey, FC Fassell will look to leverage their partnership with Antalyaspor to build a competitive squad capable of making an impact on the continental stage.
