Boulevard Palace GM Anwar Futloo dies in suspected chemical intake

Monrovia – Anwar Futloo, General Manager of the Boulevard Palace Hotel, has been confirmed dead after reportedly ingesting a toxic chemical. Health authorities at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center announced his passing on Monday evening.

According to preliminary reports, Futloo allegedly consumed caustic soda, a highly corrosive substance typically used in cleaning. The incident is said to have occurred during a visit to a friend’s residence on 9th Street, a location he frequented. The ingestion caused critical internal injuries, including severe damage to his throat and digestive tract.

Despite medical efforts to save him, Futloo succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, focusing on the circumstances leading to his death. A security guard stationed at the residence at the time of the incident has been detained for questioning at the Zone 2 Police Station in Slipway.

Futloo’s sudden and tragic demise has sent shockwaves through the community, as friends and colleagues await further details from the ongoing investigation.
