Shaita Angels’ Title Hopes Fade After Defeat to Determine Girls FC

Monrovia – Shaita Angels’ pursuit of the LFA Upper Women’s Division title suffered a significant setback as they narrowly lost 1-0 to league leaders Determine Girls FC at Tusa Field on Wednesday.

The highly anticipated match saw Determine Girls FC extend their lead at the top of the table to 30 points from ten games. In contrast, Shaita Angels remain in third place with 23 points, unchanged from their previous tally, after the same number of matches.

Determine Girls FC, the defending champions, solidified their dominance with a decisive first-half goal scored by Edwardline Jackson.

This defeat marks a major blow for Shaita Angels, who have been working tirelessly to close the gap and remain in contention for the title. The team now faces the challenge of regrouping and refocusing as they continue their league campaign.

Despite the loss, fans and supporters of Shaita Angels remain optimistic, though their path to the title has become more challenging following this result.

In other matches, Bushrod Queens and Ravia Angels played to a 2-2 draw at Tusa Field.

This result leaves Ravia Angels in second place on the table with 25 points, five points behind league leaders Determine Girls FC.
