Liberian youngsters Emmanuel King Sieh and Sam Vasco Sumo have joined Serbian club FK Novi Pazar on permanent deals from Liberian third-tier side Real Mudja.
While the value and duration of their contracts were not disclosed, reports indicate that both players signed development contracts.
FK Novi Pazar competes in the Serbian SuperLiga, and both Sieh and Sumo impressed the club’s technical team following a month-long preseason and tryout games. Vasco scored a hat-trick in one of the matches, while Sieh provided two assists and netted a goal.
As part of the transfer agreement, Real Mudja will receive 40% of any future sale, though there was no direct financial benefit from the initial move.
Eighteen-year-old Emmanuel Sieh previously signed with South African Premier League club TX Galaxy last year and featured in friendly matches. However, he was unable to be registered as he was then 17 and below the professional league age requirement. He returned to Liberia and rejoined Watanga FC on loan from Real Mudja before making the move to Serbia.
Sieh was among the nominees for the Liberian First Division League Most Valuable Player Award following a stellar 2023-2024 season—his debut campaign in the top tier. He scored 18 goals and provided six assists, playing a key role in Watanga’s title-winning season. He has also been a standout player for Liberia’s U-17 and U-20 national teams.
Vasco had previous spells with FC Kallon Liberia and Global Pharma before securing his move to Serbia.
Both players came through the Monrovia Football Academy program, continuing a trend of young Liberian footballers making moves abroad. Recently, another Real Mudja player, Emmanuel Fully, signed with Czech club Slavia Prague, while Alhaji Samukai is currently in Denmark.
