MONROVIA – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) and Tubman University have held strategic discussions aimed at integrating football-focused academic programs into the university’s curriculum.
Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, president of Tubman University, met with LFA President Mustapha I. Raji on Thursday, May 1, to discuss what is set to be a major step toward improving football education in Liberia.
The proposed initiative, according to a statement released by the LFA, will include the introduction of specialized courses such as coaching education, sports medicine and related disciplines designed to enhance the professional standards of football in the country.
The initiative aims to create structured educational pathways that will not only produce qualified coaches and medical staff but also support the long-term development of the sport at all levels.
A joint working group will be established to finalize course structures and identify timelines for rollout.
The partnership reflects the LFA’s continued commitment to capacity building by investing in education and professional development throughout the football sector.
