MONROVIA – Nimba County District #5 Representative Samuel Kogar has stepped down from his position as the National Chairman of the People’s Unification Party (PUP), a role he has held since 2017. Kogar announced his resignation on Monday, citing a period of careful consideration before making the decision.
In his resignation statement, Rep. Kogar expressed gratitude to the PUP for the opportunity to serve. He highlighted the honor of leading the party. “I am profoundly thankful to the People’s Unification Party for entrusting me with the responsibility of leadership,” he said. Kogar also reflected on the valuable experiences and cherished moments he had while working alongside party members who share the vision of a united and prosperous Liberia.
Under his leadership, the party became more prominent on the national stage, with Kogar playing a central role in shaping its strategies and advocating for its principles. He praised the collective achievements made during his tenure, attributing them to the hard work and unity within the party.
“The accomplishments we’ve made together are a testament to the hard work and unity within our ranks,” Kogar noted. “I am proud of what we have achieved and confident that the PUP will continue to grow and succeed in its mission.”
Despite resigning from his official role, Kogar reassured party members and supporters of his continued commitment to the PUP’s core values.
