RIA Highway accident claims multiple lives

ROBERTSFIELD HIGHWAY — A deadly collision between a heavy-duty truck and a commercial taxi at Boy’s Town Junction on the Robertsfield Highway has claimed multiple lives, leaving families shattered. The devastating accident, which was broadcast live by Liberia National Television (LNTV), saw emergency crews racing against time to rescue victims from the mangled wreckage.

Eyewitnesses described a chilling scene as a heavy-duty truck violently collided with a taxi, instantly crushing the vehicle and trapping its occupants inside. The tragic moment was heartbreakingly broadcast live by Liberia National Television (LNTV), compelling emergency crews to swiftly mobilize and use heavy machinery to rescue victims trapped beneath the twisted wreckage.

Inside the ill-fated taxi were three sisters—Hannah, Ruth, and Naomi—accompanied by two young nieces. Ruth and both children, including Naomi’s daughter, tragically died on the scene. The surviving sisters, Hannah and Naomi, were urgently transported to the 14 Military Hospital, where they remain in critical condition, fighting for their lives.

The tragedy deepened with the devastating news that among the children killed was the daughter of a man who had passed away earlier that very day in Light Forest Field, Buchanan. The grieving family had been traveling to Buchanan to respond to the painful loss of their elder brother when fate delivered yet another cruel blow.

Also lost in the devastating crash were Abraham Karnga and his son, Eric Karnga. Both father and son succumbed to their injuries. The taxi driver, affectionately known in the community as “Small Driver,” also died in the tragic incident.

The community is reeling from the chain of losses, as relatives and residents alike mourn the senseless and profound tragedy.
