Liberia and EU to Hold 12th Partnership Dialogue on Bilateral Cooperation

Monrovia – The Government of Liberia and the European Union (EU) are set to convene on August 13, 2024, for the Twelfth EU-Liberia Partnership Dialogue. The event, which will be co-chaired by Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and the Head of the European Union Delegation to Liberia, Ambassador Nona Deprez, is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing key mutual interests rooted in shared values.

The agenda for this significant meeting includes a broad spectrum of topics that are crucial to both parties. Discussions will cover bilateral EU-Liberia cooperation, Good Governance and Rule of Law, Human Rights, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability, International and Regional Peace, Justice and Security, Trade, Investment, and Economic Cooperation. Additionally, the dialogue will delve into Cultural Exchange, Youth Employment and Education, Entrepreneurship and Skills Development, and Infrastructure, Technology, and Connectivity.

The Liberian delegation will consist of Cabinet members and Heads of Agencies, while the European Union Delegation will include Ambassadors and Chargés d’Affaires from EU Member States present in Liberia, namely Sweden, Germany, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The meeting is scheduled to commence at 8:00 AM at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This twelfth session of the EU-Liberia Partnership Dialogue is expected to yield substantial insights and agreements that will enhance the partnership between Liberia and the EU, reinforcing their commitment to collaborative progress and shared prosperity.
