Datacharlie MSP to Host Liberia’s First National Cybersecurity Conference

MONROVIA – On August 30, 2024, Datacharlie MSP, in collaboration with Rhotel Innovation Center, will host the first-ever national and global cybersecurity conference via Zoom. The event, to be held at Rhotel Innovation Center campus on 14th Street Coleman Avenue, Sinkor, aims to gather key stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and IT professionals, to address the urgent need for a national cybersecurity policy in Liberia.

Liberia’s digital landscape remains alarmingly vulnerable, with the country lacking a formalized cybersecurity framework to protect its digital infrastructure, businesses, and citizens from potential cyber threats. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, even nations with limited digital infrastructure are at risk of cyberattacks, making the need for a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy in Liberia more critical than ever.

Leading this crucial initiative is Datacharlie MSP, an international Liberian-owned IT company committed to addressing the cybersecurity gaps in the country. The upcoming conference aims not only to raise awareness but also to produce a petition that will be submitted to the Liberian government, urging the swift creation and implementation of a national cybersecurity policy. This policy is seen as essential to safeguarding sensitive data, protecting businesses, and ensuring the security of individuals in a rapidly digitizing world.

Charles Howard, CEO of Datacharlie MSP, highlighted the significance of this effort, stating, “In today’s digital age, no country can afford to remain defenseless against cyber threats. This conference is the first step towards building a secure digital future for Liberia.”

Datacharlie MSP is positioning itself as a key player in shaping Liberia’s digital security strategy. The company’s proactive approach, in partnership with Rhotel Innovation Center, is a major push toward securing Liberia’s digital infrastructure. The conference is expected to be a defining moment in Liberia’s efforts to create a safer and more resilient digital environment, with stakeholders working together to craft solutions that will protect the country’s digital assets and future.
