Mary W. Kermon Crowned Miss Earth Liberia 2024

Monrovia – Miss Mary W. Kermon has been crowned the winner of the Miss Earth Liberia 2024 edition.

Miss Kermon’s victory at the Ministerial Complex on July 21 saw her triumph over five other remarkable contestants, excelling in nearly all voting categories, including public voting and the challenging question-and-answer segment. Her poise, intelligence, and dedication to environmental advocacy captivated both the judges and the audience.

During the question-and-answer period, Miss Kermon articulated a balanced approach to climate change advocacy, emphasizing the importance of considering diverse perspectives and promoting solutions that can unite and mobilize people toward a common goal of environmental sustainability. Her thoughtful and inclusive answers left a lasting impression on the judges, securing her victory.

In an interview immediately following her win, Miss Kermon expressed her enthusiasm for her new role and her commitment to working with the Environmental Protection Agency.

“I am incredibly honored to be crowned Miss Earth Liberia 2024. My focus will be on spreading awareness about climate change and educating every Liberian on how we can collectively protect our environment. This is a responsibility I am passionate about, and I look forward to making a significant impact,” Miss Kermon stated.

“I believe that to address climate change effectively, we must engage in open dialogue, consider all viewpoints, and work towards solutions that are beneficial for everyone. A win-win approach is essential to galvanize broad support and drive meaningful change,” Miss Kermon added.

Miss Kermon walked away with a brand new Nissan Juke Jeep, a one-year employment opportunity with the Environmental Protection Agency, and other fabulous prizes and opportunities.

The sixth edition of Miss Earth Liberia, held under the theme “Me Love Three,” showcased the exceptional talents, intelligence, and beauty of its participants. The competition, which has grown to become Liberia’s premier beauty pageant over the past five years, provides a platform for young women to advocate for environmental issues and promote sustainable practices, playing a crucial role in promoting environmental awareness and education.

The educational impact of the pageant on its participants is profound, empowering them with knowledge and skills to become leaders in environmental advocacy. The event was a dazzling display of grace and talent, with each contestant delivering outstanding performances. The audience was treated to a night of elegance, creativity, and thought-provoking discussions on environmental sustainability.

Patshi B. Shoniyin and Stella A. Theddus claimed the titles of 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up, respectively. Their remarkable performances further highlighted the exceptional caliber of this year’s contestants.

As Miss Earth Liberia 2024, Miss Kermon will embark on a one-year journey to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices across the nation.
