MONROVIA – Jlayteh Sayor, a former Liberia Football Association executive committee member and president of Watanga FC, has earned the FIFA Master, the postgraduate program that has become a standard path into senior leadership in global football.
Sayor completed the 26th edition of the program alongside 26 other participants from 21 countries. The course is offered across three institutions, with the humanities of sport taught at De Montfort University in England, sports management at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy, and sports law at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
“I accept this qualification with a renewed commitment to contribute meaningfully to the governance, development and advancement of football in Liberia, Africa and beyond,” Sayor said.
He said the program broadened his understanding of sports governance through exposure to different cultures and perspectives, and that standing beside the Liberian flag at the graduation ceremony was an emotional moment. He thanked FIFA and the International Centre for Sports Studies, which run the program, and the Liberia Football Association and its executive committee for supporting his participation.
The FIFA Master combines management, law and humanities, and is regarded as one of the leading postgraduate qualifications in sports administration.
