Monrovia – Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow recently led diplomatic discussions in Burkina Faso, focusing on security and economic cooperation between the two nations.
During the visit, Minister Beysolow participated in a United Nations security lobby, a peace and security dialogue, and a business roundtable. These engagements aimed at strengthening Liberia’s diplomatic relations and exploring potential investment opportunities.
In a meeting with Burkinabe President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, discussions centered on economic collaboration and regional security. According to sources, Burkina Faso’s business community expressed interest in exploring investments in Liberia, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, banking, and agriculture.
Liberia’s Presidential Special Envoys on Tourism and Investment, Ambassadors Onanuga and Bah, also played a role in engaging potential investors. Their efforts align with the government’s push for economic expansion and job creation.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Liberia’s National Tourism Authority Act was passed through both houses of the legislature, an initiative supported by Ambassador Onanuga as part of the administration’s broader economic agenda.
These engagements mark ongoing diplomatic efforts by Liberia to strengthen its international partnerships and attract foreign investments to boost economic development.
