KAKATA, Margibi County – A local businessman identified as Joseph Kleme was found dead in a pool of blood early Tuesday morning at his shop in the Lango Town Market in Kakata, Margibi County. The incident, which occurred around 1:00 AM, has left residents of Lango Town Community in fear as Police authorities investigate the brutal attack.
According to reports, Kleme, a man in his 50s, was assaulted by unidentified individuals during the night. He reportedly struggled to fight off his attackers but was stabbed multiple times with a long silver knife, leading to severe blood loss, which is believed to have caused his death.
His lifeless body was discovered lying face down in front of his small shop, where he often slept. Police Crime Services investigators observed no signs of forced entry, suggesting that Kleme may have willingly opened his door probably to someone he knew before being viciously stabbed.
Police in Kakata have yet to make any arrests, and the motive behind the killing remains unclear. The tragic incident has heightened security concerns and fears among locals especially in Lango Town where the alleged murdered occurred is infamous to drugs and gang activities
