Alleged Drug Addict Sets Parents’ Home Ablaze in New Buchanan

BUCHANAN — In a shocking incident that has stunned the New Buchanan community, Trokon Toure, a young man believed to be struggling with drug addiction, allegedly set fire to his parents’ three-bedroom house on Sunday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses recount a disturbing scene where Trokon was seen near the house, igniting flames that quickly engulfed the property. According to residents of Block D in New Buchanan, Trokon was observed throwing an incendiary device onto the roof of the house before swiftly fleeing the scene.

The exact motive behind Trokon’s alleged actions remains unclear, leaving neighbors and authorities confused. Trokon’s father, Roosevelt Toure, a respected teacher at Kpanndy High Public School, and his mother, an employee at ArcelorMittal Liberia, were away when the fire erupted. Prompt intervention by community members prevented further devastation, although significant damage had already been inflicted on the residence.

Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs. Toure were devastated to find their cherished home partially destroyed by their own son. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the neighborhood, where Trokon’s family is well-known and respected.

Authorities are now investigating the incident, aiming to uncover the underlying reasons for Trokon’s alleged destructive actions. Meanwhile, the community has rallied around the Toure family, offering support and assistance during this challenging time.

As details continue to emerge, residents of New Buchanan remain hopeful for answers and healing in the aftermath of this tragic event.
