Reports from Sweden indicate that Liberian wonderkid Devine Roosevelt Teah is currently in the Czech Republic to discuss a potential transfer to Slavia Prague.
Teah, who plays for Swedish top-tier club Hammarby—co-owned by Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic—has reportedly been granted permission by Hammarby to negotiate with Slavia Prague after struggling for playing time.
The 18-year-old former Nimba FC midfielder joined Hammarby in April 2024 but has only managed one start in eight appearances this season.
If the deal goes through, Teah will join Lone Star captain Murphy Oscar Dorley, who is currently the most valuable player at Slavia Prague.
Reports speculate that Teah’s arrival is part of Slavia Prague’s preparation for a potential departure of Dorley, who has been linked with several European clubs over the past two transfer windows.
Slavia Prague is reportedly willing to pay around three million euros to secure the Liberian talent.
On October 11, 2023, Teah was named by the English newspaper The Guardian as one of the best players worldwide born in 2006.
During his time at Nimba FC, Teah attracted attention from top European clubs, including AC Milan, Sporting CP, and Bayer Leverkusen, as reported by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
