MONROVIA — Do you believe in luck, or is it safe to conclude that when the miraculous happens, it’s destiny? Could God be partial, favoring some humans for greatness while others are not? Or is it a man-made theory that God favors some souls more than others, even before birth? All in all, is this the theory backing the sudden success of rising superstar Will Flash?

There’s something extra-special about this vocal powerhouse that strikes a chord of immense love. The aura of Prince O. Williams, popularly known as Will Flash, burns like the sun in the sky and illuminates our hearts like an insect attracted to the nectar of a beautiful flower. Is it the way he writes his songs? Is it the way the lyrics glitter through his golden voice? Or his charm as a handsome and masculine figure, which would hypnotize any woman into complete adoration? He has the spirit of the angels that sing for God in Heaven. For those who believe in reincarnation, don’t you think it’s a cheat code that God sent an angel into the Liberian music industry? If so, why did God send Will Flash to Liberia?
S.O.G Records collapsed, and the greatest talent manager, based on obvious records, resigned with no hope of ever returning to the industry. Years passed, and out of the blue, King Jafar announced his return with the introduction of an artist that took the whole nation by surprise. The scary part is the heavy investment being made, and the question on every critic’s mind is: Is it worth the risk, and why is all this being done for a musician who hasn’t yet proven himself to the nation? What would you call Will Flash’s ability to resurrect S.O.G from the dead? Is it talent or divine grace? I would actually say both, because when his debut single “Heart and Soul” dropped, even a blind man could see that nothing was handed over to this young lad; you would know that he is a product of strict discipline and endless hard work.
The construction of his lyrics and the composure of his voice synchronized with an instrumental that aligns with the purpose and commerciality of the sound. When we say commerciality of “Heart and Soul,” what do we mean? The acceptability of “Heart and Soul” is outstanding for a newcomer who has already broken the jinx of love songs being rigorously sexualized before they have meaning or make a tremendous impact. Yes! No denial, “Heart and Soul” is that perfect tune for lovemaking, and this is due to the maturity injected into the sensory neurons of the lyrics, causing an electrified atmosphere of pure emotions any time it’s played.
Weddings would have no sunshine if “Heart and Soul” isn’t on the playlist of the disc jockey because it’s like fresh air to lovers. In fact, you wouldn’t dare propose to your woman without it being played. Women have rhythmically intertwined the sound of their heartbeat with this wonderful love song, and the evidence is everywhere on social media. There’s a unique craze for Will Flash on TikTok, as women both young and old unapologetically create various content just to show how much they are in love with Will Flash’s voice and his song.
Now, if you say the song is magical, what will you say about the music video? The visuals are an upgrade to Liberian music videos, making it second to none. It was shot and directed by Brian Ohene, a filmmaker whose cinematographic skill is internationally recognized and pronounced in the entertainment industry in Africa. We have nothing to doubt when it comes to the future of S.O.G or Liberian music anymore! Many years of concrete grooming by his father, Mr. Williams, who discovered him as a musician, and four years as a recording artist are enough to get the legend King Jafar to mold a true messiah who will earn our nation global dominance in entertainment, from the heart and soul of Will Flash.
