GARDNERSVILLE — Heaven Eleven clinched the first-ever Bettomax Champions Cup on Sunday, edging Bea Mountain 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the Tusa Field.
Captain Yaya Bility opened the scoring with a header for Heaven XI before Emmanuel Karblee leveled for Bea Mountain just before halftime.
Both sides tightened up in the second half, with neither team taking risks as the match went straight to spot kicks. Bea Mountain faltered early, missing their first three penalties. Heaven XI squandered two chances to win it but eventually held their nerve to secure the title.

Prize Money and Honors
With the victory, Heaven XI — last season’s LFA First Division runners-up — lifted the silver-platinum trophy and collected a $10,000 cash prize. Bea Mountain, beaten finalists, walked away with $5,000.
In the third-place playoff, Freeport FC edged Global Pharma 1-0 thanks to a strike from left back Edward Johnson. Despite being reduced to 10 men, Freeport’s defense stood firm as Global Pharma struggled to take advantage.
Freeport pocketed $3,500 for third place, while Global Pharma earned $300. Each of the eight participating clubs received $2,000 for taking part.
Preseason Showcase
The Bettomax Champions Cup is organized under a three-year partnership between the Liberia Football Association and sports betting company Bettomax. In just its debut year, the tournament has positioned itself as a preseason showcase for LFA First Division teams.
